Waiting Periods Summary
30-day waiting period for illness-related admissions

A general waiting period of 30 days applies to all illness-related hospital admissions from the date of enrollment.

Treatment for accidents is covered immediately from the day of enrollment with no waiting period.

The following conditions and treatments have a 12-month waiting period:

  • Pre-existing conditions
  • Chronic illnesses
  • Psychiatric conditions
  • Congenital conditions
  • Organ transplants
  • HIV/AIDS and related treatments

These procedures are also subject to a 12-month waiting period:

  • Fibroid treatment
  • Adenoidectomy
  • Haemorrhoidectomy
  • Tonsillectomy

MRI and CT scans require pre-authorization before they can be accessed.
